The Lagado Corporation of Englewood, Colorado has received FDA marketing clearance for ONSI-56 (onsifocon A), a rigid silicone-hydrogel contact lens.

This silicone-hydrogel polymer has been formulated to hydrate on the surface like a soft silicone-hydrogel while remaining rigid in the interior of the lens. ONSI-56
(onsifocon A) lenses combine the wettability and comfort of a soft silicone-hydrogel lens with the permeability and durability of an RGP lens.
